Transportation to and from the Airport:
San Jose has come a long way since. Aside from the old way to go to the airport and the construction of the toll road, now the city is busy expanding the intersection in front of La Comer to pave the way for an underpass. While the construction is underway, the traffic around La Comer has been challenging and will probably last for another year.
Nevertheless, there are new ways now available to us as transport from the airport.
Uber is now operating here but pickups directly at the airport are restricted. You’ll likely need to walk a short distance outside the airport grounds to meet your driver.
Recent app updates aim to streamline this so checking the Uber app upon arrival is best for the current pick up process.
Private SUV/Van – To get from the SJD airport to the East Cape, you’ll need a private transfer as shared shuttles don’t service this area, with costs around $170-$200+ usd one way. Book in advance with companies like:
